Be part of Team Can Do!

 

As a local charity which always faces financial uncertainty, Can Do salutes all those people who have run, swum, walked, danced, baked, car washed, performed or played to raise some much-needed cash to support our work over the years.

Fundraising continues to play an important part of Can Do’s survival, and we welcome any support you can give.

Individuals and small groups can take part in sponsored events and organise local activities to raise some money for us:

  • We pay entry fees and provide t-shirts for organised sponsored events. We are one of Edinburgh Marathon Festival’s affiliated charities, and many of our supporters have raised money through the Edinburgh Kiltwalk.
  • We can support you with fundraising ideas and publicity – for example a tombola at a Christmas Fair, a bucket collection at your local supermarket, or a bake sale at your child’s school.

We also really welcome support from local businesses. You can support us by:

  • Choosing us as your charity of the month/year
  • Working with us to organise a workplace challenge
  • Holding a charity pub quiz evening
  • Donating to us in kind and/or time
  • Match funding your employees fundraising efforts
  • or spreading the Can Do word with your corporate partners. 

We can help local businesses and organisations fundraise for us and we are happy to meet with you and your employees to present about our vibrant local charity, which supports disabled children and young people from across East Lothian. We always celebrate any fundraising or donations on social media and in writing.
