Annual residential weekends
All of our youth club members are invited to join in with a weekend of activity and adventure in one of Scotland’s superb outdoor centres. For many of our young Can Do clubbers this is their first time away from home for a sleepover with their friends, how exciting!
We provide transport, staffing and a willing crew of volunteers to support one of the highlights of our year. We consult with families fully about care and medication needs, and have full emergency planning in place.
2020 Residentials Dates
Running from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening, the Can Do residentials offer a programme of activities and outings including things like:
- Landmark Adventure Centre
- Swimming
- Trip on the Aviemore Steam Train
- Trampolining
- Rock climbing
- Laser tag
- Canoeing
- Bush craft
- Team building games
- BBQ
Doing new and exciting stuff is a core part of our weekends away, but the residentials also include the chance for the Can Do young people to develop confidence, some independent living skills and a bit of self-responsibility. Making your own bed, doing the dishes and tidying up behind you is all part of the experience!
