External funding not only allows us to offer disabled young people and children the chance to join in with recreational activities and have a whole lot of fun which they might not otherwise enjoy, but the Can Do ripple effect extends even further.
Parents benefit from a bit of respite when their children are with us, and really enjoy seeing their children socialising and thriving in the Can Do community too. Mums, dads and carers also get the chance to spend some quality time with their other children.
Our volunteers learn lifelong skills, gain valuable experience and insight about disability or additional needs, and form lasting friendships with the children in their care. The potential for personal development at Can Do can’t be overstated, and volunteering offers career options too.
There’s no doubt about it, our funding partners really do provide life-changing experiences for everyone involved with Can Do.
